The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hamid Al-Najdi, accompanied by Dr. Hussein Al-Mankoushi, Dean of the College of Engineering, visited the Karbala Refinery to strengthen the ties of cooperation between the university and institutions. They were received by Engineer Mohammed Bassem Mohammed Reda, Assistant General Manager of the refinery. During the meeting, they discussed facilitating the attendance of students from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering at the university to the refinery to gain practical insight into the refinery's unit operations, which contributes to enhancing the academic reality for our dear students.

The University President also praised the efforts made by the refinery's management in their diligent work to increase production with distinguished quality, as evidenced by the citizens' daily consumption of the fuel produced at the Karbala Refinery.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President extended an invitation to the refinery management to visit the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering at the university to view the workshop designated for practical lessons, which is equipped with the latest machinery and equipment, and to meet with specialized professors and students to provide feedback on improving the department's performance.

His Excellency thanked the refinery management for their warm hospitality and reception.
