Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of the Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency, Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Al-Fatlawi, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attia Al-Zughaibi, and the Head of the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hassanein Basem Al-Shadidi.

The Student Activities Department at the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency held a meeting for the directors of student activity departments and divisions in public and private universities and colleges at the University of Baghdad, in the College of Media hall. The meeting began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq's martyrs, and the playing of the Iraqi national anthem. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi took the podium, welcoming the attendees and congratulating the public and private universities and colleges that won top places in the student activities program for the 2025-2026 academic year. At the same time, he emphasized the necessity of improving performance for universities and colleges participating in sports, artistic, cultural, scouting, and volunteer activities. This was followed by the President of the University of Baghdad honoring Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, and the Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency honoring the President of the University of Baghdad, as well as the deans of the College of Media, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women.

Furthermore, public and private universities and colleges that won the first three places in the competitions organized by the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were honored.

Following this, a discussion session was opened, chaired by Dr. Hassanein Al-Shadidi, Head of the Student Activities Department, along with directors of sports, artistic, cultural, scouting, volunteer work, and student club divisions, in addition to Prof. Dr. Riyadh Khalil, Vice President of the University Sports Federation. The session focused on discussing the pros and cons associated with the implementation of activities for the 2025-2026 academic year and preparing for the activities of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Mr. Haider Hassan Jawad, Head of the Student Activities Department, represented the University at the meeting.
